DEATH

What is death?

Death is a mysterious thing.

As we were doing the research on death, we got lost in every seconds since the topic of death was so broad and general. It deferred in every cultures and religions according to their beliefs. Then we figured that the confusion came from people's assumptions about death.

No one ever experienced death since no one can return from death to tell us what it's like. All we do is making an assumption of what it would be like or how it is going to be. Therefore there is no right or wrong answers to it. These assumptions became the general explanations of death and people are keep building on it.

The problem:

People don't realize how much the death influence their lives and the affective changes it brings. Often people are unprepared when it comes to either their own or their loved ones death. They forget the fact that we eventually face the death, whether in close or far future.

People are often aware of death whether they experienced or not of losing their loved ones. They think about it deep inside, knowing that someday we all will die. But people avoid talking about dying until death face up to reality, not realizing the affective influences that death can bring to our lives.
People assume the death as the far future event of their lives. But the reality is not. No one knows when the death will come. Not knowing what the death really is(people only assume), they are not prepared when the time comes to deal with the death of either their own or their loved ones'. Death still is the part of the life; but people don't plan ahead for experiences of facing death, just like how they plan for their lifestyles.

Opportunities:

By engaging people to understand the influences that death can affect our lives, our project has the potential to change people's perception on death and their way of dealing with it
